As Fashion Month comes to an end, we are left buzzing with inspiration. The runways have given classic and innovative designs the spotlight while giving us a peek into trends that are sure to define the Autumn and Winter seasons of 2025. However, one trend in particular caught our eye, and it could be more fitting for the Fall and Winter. This season, patches couldn't be more the rave. Patches on coats. Patches on bags. Patches on cartigans. Patches on pants. Patches on dresses, jackets, and hats. And patches on...robes? This season shows that the possibilities are endless and that patches and emblems are the key to making bold statement pieces. So, as we wrap up Fashion Month in Paris, let's take a look at the other fashion capitals of the world and what they had to say about Autumn and Winter fashion.
New York Fashion Week
Though New York Fashion Week was off to a dimmer start than usual this year (particularly from the snow and other colder fronts), it is certainly one of the most dazzling shows of the season. There were some friendly faces we all know and love like Calvin Klein and Carolina Herrera, but it was the debut of up-and-coming designers that makes New York Fashion Week… New York. So, without further ado, here are some 2025 Autumn and Winter looks that we couldn't get enough of.
Starting with one of Thom Browne's looks, showcasing a series of finches as patch appliques on a stunning coat that mixes classic plaid and suede.
And, of course we couldn't forget Coach. Their use of asymetric leather and suede patches gave a whole new definition to how patches express a brand's uniqueness. Coach's emphasis on their accessories also reminded us of a special trend we've been seeing everywhere: patches and emblems on designer bags.

London Fashion Week
Two weeks after NYFW, we hop across the pond to London. London Fashion Week was nothing short of electrifying. From metallics to furs and echoes from the 80s, London Fashion Week arguably showcased some of the most daring and ingenious designers of the season. Chopova Lowena was among these trailblazers and stunned us all with their "The Tiny Flutter Made Big" collection, showcasing one of the most revolutionary uses of patches and emblems. Eclectic Punk is a defining term for this collection, mixing patches and emblems on trousers, bags, and skirts with fur, plaid, and other textures.

Milan Fashion Week
Rebellion also traveled over to Milan Fashion Week and can be found especially in Philipp Plein's AW25 collection. Letterman jackets continue to walk the runway, adorned with custom patches and emblems that reflect the character of the brand. In Philipp Plein's case, they took it up a notch by also decorating blazers, combining streetwear with classic silhouettes. A baseball cap with a patch also complements both of these looks, bringing street style into both spheres.

Philipp Plein's menswear wasn't the only collection that played around with patches and emblems. Plein's AW25 womenswear also brought a bit of that rebellious spirit over and decorated its denim looks with classic embroidery.

Paris Fashion Week
Fashion Month ended off with a bang at Paris Fashion Week, making it difficult for us to choose just one collection. Paris Fashion Week has us in awe with the some of the most aristic uses of patches used in couture—let's dive in.
Sacai’s show featured stunning artworks like Man Ray’s teardrop using "photo stitch" embroidery techniques paired with a faux fur dress. The mix of vintage art with new embroidery techniques gave Chitose Abe's collection a worldly glamour.

Inspired by travel fridge magnets, designer Anthony Alvarez Graff showcased a series of destination patches in Bluemarble's show this season, showing us that patches can be anything you want them to be. Bluemarble also had stunning uses of embroidery, particularly in their jackets.
Georges Hobeika rolled over some spring and summer themes into their Autumn and Winter collection in Italian plum purples and cranberry reds. It was during this show that we saw some of the most beautiful uses of embroidery with intricate florals, showing us that beauty is in the details.

And lastly, OFF-WHITE. In honor of the late Virgil Abloh's legacy, designer Ib Kamara featured letterman jackets at OFF-WHITE's show, exhibiting the classic and elevated feel these jackets bring into street style.
