In an exclusive interview with Industrial Equipment News (IEN), World Emblem CEO Randy Carr provides his insights on the benefits of onshoring and nearshoring, managing the supply chain, and other topics relevant to the industry.
Regarding reshoring, Randy noted: “The business case…depends on the industry and the products being produced or distributed. We would prefer to have more of our operations in the U.S., but a number of factors including labor costs, inflation, and access to resources have inhibited us from expanding our domestic manufacturing further.”
World Emblem produces and ships approximately 40 percent of the company’s orders from its plant in Mexico, with the remainder manufactured in the U.S.
